Garrison, William V. "Bill" 58, of Largo, FL died at home suddenly on Friday Sept. 3, 2004 of heart failure. Born in Kokomo, Indiana, Bill came to Florida in 1947. He was employed at Avaya, Inc. in St. Petersburg as a CSSO Tech in the RNIS Organization. He held membership in the Communication Workers of America Union and had served as the Steward for local 3108. With heritage from Paradyne, Bill would have celebrated his 20th service anniversary this November.

He was an active member of Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, and a member of Interweave. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 2 siblings and a partner of 33 years, Richard Lewis. He is survived by a sister, Brenda Austin, his partner of 2 years, Lonnie Quitter, and by dear, close friends Mary Jane Lewis, Mark and Marjorie Lewis.

There will be a memorial service held at Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, located at 2470 Nursery Road in Clearwater on September 25
at 3:00 with minister Abhi Janamanchi guiding the service, at which time the family will receive friends.

We will all miss this kind, sensitive, and caring person, who was always eager to help in any way. In lieu of flowers the family asks that all donations be made, in Bill's memory, to the Animal Shelter of your choice.
